We consider that a material is subjected to tensile stress when two equal and opposite forces are applied along its axis, leading to an increase in length and a decrease in its initial cross-section. Similarly, a material is considered to be under compression when two equal and opposite forces are applied along its axis, resulting in a decrease in length and an expansion of its initial cross-section. A sample is considered to be bent when it is supported at one or more points, and external forces/loadings are applied perpendicular to its axis. As a result of bending, tensile, compressive, and shear stresses develop across the cross-section and along the length of the sample.
Our company is able to offer a range of high-quality tensile/compression/bending machines from Techlab-Metrotec, leading Spanish manufacturer that we represent in Greece.
